Google Pixel the next affordable smartphone, the Pixel 7a, has been leaked in all its glory in some nifty-looking renders today.

The Pixel 7a distantly borrows considerably from the Pixel 7 in terms of the design of its back, which makes sense in view of they’re theoretically part of the same generation of smartphones from Google’s stable – even though we’re most likely still some months away from the official revealing of the 7a.

The phone is anticipated to have dimensions 152.4 x 72.9 x 9 mm (10.1 mm at the camera bump). The Pixel 6a was ever so somewhat smaller on all axes, coming in at 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.9 mm, but these differences (aside from width) are small enough that you’re doubtful to notice them even with the two side-by-side.

The Pixel 7a is supposedly going to arrive in two colors – white and dark grey, which Google is probably going to call something completely different like Charcoal and Chalk.

The handset will come with a 90 Hz FHD+ exhibit panel made by Samsung, Sony IMX787, and IMX712 sensors for the rear cameras, wireless charging assist (capped at 5W), and an in-exhibit fingerprint sensor.

Pixel 7: Last-minute leaks!

DESIGN

Google is clarifying and tuning the Pixel 6 series with its “Camera bar” and making some important upgrades.

From distantly the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro will look almost identical to the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. The redesign for a flagship Google phone is remaining but with sensible substitutes to the all-glass “Camera bar,” which is now set to have an aluminium frame for added durability. One major complaint that this confidently resolves is camera lens smudges that can ruin your images and videos.

In terms of screen sizes, early leaks specified that the Pixel 7 may have an almost smaller 6.3-inch flat screen than the 6.4 inches on the Pixel 6. The screens could be the same used on the Pixel 6 series, but the exhibit curve is said to be a little less pronounced on the Pixel 7 Pro this time according to a leaked video— which has since been deleted — with EVT units from YouTuber Unbox Therapy.

Those hoping for a major repair or upgrade from the Pixel 6 may be disappointed to hear that the Pixel 7 series looks to be offering minor boosts in selected areas. The second-generation Google-developed Tensor processor is going to be at the very heart of the duplet.

CAMERAS

We all know that Google likes to fine-tune the camera quality in place of relying heavily upon the sensor hardware. The 50-MP Samsung ISOCELL GN1 sensor is receiving another outing this year after making its debut with the Pixel 6. After years of continuing with the aging Sony IMX363 main sensor, this felt like a quantum leap for the Pixel camera with cleaner, sharper images that promote the Pixel 6 back toward the upper position of the smartphone camera charts.

If you are expecting huge maintain in the camera hardware department, be ready to be disappointed by the Pixel 7 leaks. That’s not to say definite improvements are not coming. There are some minor alterations to an already excellent system that only truly differs with the involvement of one extra lens on the Pro model.

Traits

Leaks of the Pixel 7 traits have not been quite as in-depth as in other areas, but as is often the case, the closer we get to begin, the harder OEMs find it to keep things under wraps. That is definitely what has happened in recent days as a ton of information has been uncovered as we approach the official beginning date.

Besides several new camera outcomes, as we have uncovered previously, the Pixel 7 series is set to restore Face Unlock for biometrics. This is besides an in-exhibit fingerprint scanner for secure device unlocks. Android 13 will no doubt come pre-installed, but it’s not translucent if there will be any interesting and exclusive outcomes that’ll come bundled for the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.

Pricing

Last year the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro were provided at competitive prices of $599 and $899 respectively. It was broadly anticipated that the duplet would be provided at this price once again. A US pricing leak specifies that the Pixel 7 will start at the same price this time all over with Amazon even listing the 128GB Pixel 7 early at $599.
